Peroni leads the industry in manufacturing an extensive array of triplex, quintuplex, and septuplex high pressure plunger pump, designed to meet API 674 and ASME standards.

While power ends are standard on model, liquid ends can be customized according to Peroni's extensive experience, catering to a variety of application requirements - high or low temperatures, viscous, abrasive, or crystallizing fluids, ultra high pressure, or compact units for limited spaces. Peroni reciprocating pumps range includes a smaller Titano series up to 600 kW and a larger PTO-PQO-PSO series up to 2500 kW.

How does a reciprocating pump work

Power End
The crankshaft of pumps up to 1100 kW is supported by roller bearings, and do not require an auxiliary lubrication system thanks to their efficient splash and flood lubrication system, offering high reliability with low operating costs. Plunger pressure Pump larger than 1100 kW feature continuous shaft support achieved via individual sleeve bearings for each plunger which significantly reduces stress and ensures intrinsic safety against shaft failure. A spherical joint connects each plunger to the crank mechanism, which limits loads on the sealing area.

Liquid End
The hydraulic end is tailored to meet the varying needs of different process applications and fluid characteristics. This involves combining various manifold, valve assembly, and sealing system configurations and choosing appropriate materials for each specific application. The standard hydraulic end is adaptable to a broad spectrum of operating conditions and hazardous fluids, including those containing suspended solids. Specialized solutions are also available for high-viscosity fluids and pumping conditions at extreme temperatures, and even for slurries with considerable solid content. The standard liquid end in the smaller pumps of the Peroni range features a manifold with flanged connections and an independent valve body for each plunger, ensuring ease of maintenance.

Valves and Sealing
A diverse range of valves caters to NPSHa conditions and the characteristics of the fluids being handled, including viscosity and solids content. Additionally, Peroni has invested considerable research into sealing systems, each designed to address challenges related to the physical properties of the handled fluid and the risks associated with atmospheric exposure. Peroni Pompe’s unique Dedalo™ sealing system offers a unique leak free performance and unparalleled lifetime without maintenance. The valve bodies and hydraulic cylinders are designed for pre-assembly at the workshop, minimizing on-site work and downtime during replacement. This solution is especially useful for applications expecting significant temperature fluctuations.
