The project replaced a conventional sealing system—requiring periodic manual adjustment—on high-pressure pumps installed in 2023 with the patented Dedalo® solution, eliminating manual intervention and ensuring leak-free operation.
Completed in June 2025, the retrofit delivered reliable, continuous performance with full client satisfaction. The Dedalo sealing solution is currently in service at other Oil & Gas and Petrochemical sites and extended to additional sectors, notably the marine industry (HP pressure fuel supply pump developed in collaboration with Alfa Laval and WinGD).
Marathon Petroleum, the owner of wash water pumps by Peroni in operation since in 2023, desired a sealing system that could operate without manual adjustment and without leakage.
Peroni proposed to retrofit the pumps its patented Dedalo® sealing system, designed to eliminate manual regulation while ensuring reliable, leak-free operation.
In June 2025, the standard sealing system was replaced with the Dedalo® seal. Since then, the pumps have been operating continuously with:
• Perfect sealing performance with zero leak
• No manual adjustment required
• Complete satisfaction from both the client and Peroni Pompe
The Dedalo® system has been implemented at other Oil & Gas sites and extended to the marine sector, including projects developed in collaboration with Alfa Laval and WinGD.
